Royole FlexPai With full Review

 SCREEN

With the overall design, the FlexPai looks more like a tablet than a smartphone. It features a 7.8-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440p. Despite the "special" capabilities, the display quality and color on the screen are no different than the quality of traditional AMOLED panels used on smartphones on the market today. The 4: 3 aspect ratio gives you a more comfortable viewing experience when folded.

The folding mechanism is supported by a hinge with more than 100 special parts. In addition to the "plastic" background, Royole uses a special plastic material instead of conventional glass.

Except for the fact that the plastics do not have the "feel" of glass, this is the best and most suitable material available to handle this task. At the same time, the plastic also makes the FlexPai screen more durable and harder to break, but vice versa will be easy to scratch.

To move the tablet from a tablet to a fairly simple smartphone, from the center of the screen, just fold the machine. The hinges on the machine support folding from so many corners so users can fold and use the machine from many different positions. Royole said that the FlexPai can fold at least 200,000 times, enough for a few years.

However, in practice it is used to fold the machine, we will be worried because it can break the screen. Manufacturers can handle this with a better hinge, requiring less force in the future.

 MACHINE FOR PROGRAMMER

Royole has allowed users to pre-order now and the first ones will be available later this year. On the US market, the machine costs $ 1,318 (equivalent to about $ 30.6 million) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory and $ 1469 ($ 34 million). This is not a reasonable price for the average user, the object that the FlexPai is targeting is the programmers and people who are really passionate about the machine.

Other specifications include the latest Qualcomm 8 series, dual SIM and microSD cards, dual cameras and a 3800mAh battery. The company said the machine can charge from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Royole will pre-install a customized version of Android 9.0 for the FlexPai. A reporter from the AndroidAuthority site has had the opportunity to use the test machines to show that the software is extremely buggy. For example, the user interface on FlexPai does not change in some cases when the user folds and opens the machine. Interface components are sometimes distorted. Screen rotation does not work. Applications often crash and sometimes the whole machine. But maybe because this is just a test version, Royole said that they will fix these errors before selling.
 WHY THE MACHINE IS SPECIAL

Royole FlexPai is the world's first folding smartphone. The machines that AndroidAuthority reporters have had the opportunity to experience are impressive, but still not quite perfect. However, if you intend to buy this handset, make sure that the commercial version will be a milestone in the phone industry.
